Jennifer’s first impressions of Rachel
Hi. I am Jenn. I work with Rachel. Joshua asked us all to write down a few memories of Rachel that no one else would have or tidbits people wouldn’t know and he’s going to put them online.
When I first met Rachel, the very first thing I thought was, “they have hired a teenager.” She had just finished interviewing and accepted her position. I was the only one in the office at the time so our boss brought her into my area to introduce her.
Let me describe what she was like for you on that first meeting. She was wearing a light blue skirt and a black blazer. It really reminded me of something Jackie O would have worn in the 60s. Her blouse was silk and the same pale blue as her skirt. Her black heels were so high I wondered how she even walked in them. Her hair, which for those of you who have not had the pleasure of seeing it, was pulled back tightly in a bun, but you could tell that it was very curly. I thought she must of used a lot of product to get it to behave like that. Lastly, her glasses were these thick and nerdy cat style glasses. To be honest, she looked like she was 15 and trying to play the role of a grown up. In fact, I even asked our boss how old she was when she left but he said to ask her.
Anyway, that was almost two and a half years ago and I don’t think I have ever seen Rach in those shoes again. Turns out when she took them off, she looked even more like a child as she barely reached 4’11.
Get well soon babe!!! I miss you and the coffee talk we have in the mornings.
